Sensing Technologies

RADAR – Continuous level measurement with alarm trip for Hi and/or HiHi conditions. Accuracy +/-2mm, Exd or Exi. Level reading can be forwarded on to tank gauging system.

VIBRATING FORK – Extra High Reliability – continuous self testing with optional IN LOOP PROOF TEST facility, Accuracy +/-1mm, Exd or Exi.

DISPLACEMENT FLOAT SWITCH – dual versions available, integrated padlockable self-test facility, Accuracy +/-5mm, Exd, Exi

Processing and Annunciation
|
At the heart of SILGuard is a SAFETY PLC, programmed using function blocks by Certified Functional Safety Engineers. For the safety functions, annunciation is made to external and internal BEACONS and SOUNDERS (often in redundant pairs) and tank ingress shut-off is achieved by direct action to failsafe SIL incorporated VALVE/ACTUATOR combinations. Other options include full colour TOUCH SCREENS for continuous graphical display of tank status, or MIMIC PANELS where the tank alarm display can be incorporated into the safety function. |
